Manufacturing & Wholesale Risk Specialization

At Heil & Heil, we understand that manufacturing and wholesale are the backbone of the economy. These sectors face a high-velocity landscape of supply chain disruptions, evolving safety regulations, and complex liability exposures. Led by Michael’s deep industry knowledge, our agency provides the technical proficiency required to protect the assets and operations of the mid-market industrial sector.

We look beyond the surface of a standard policy to identify the specific vulnerabilities in your production and distribution lines. We build resilient risk management programs for:

  • Precision Manufacturing: Protecting specialized machinery, intellectual property, and business income from equipment-related downtime.

  • Wholesale & Distribution: Addressing the unique logistical risks of warehousing, fleet safety, and domestic or international transit.

  • Industrial Food Processing: Bridging the gap between production and food safety with comprehensive product liability and recall programs.

  • Component & Tooling Supplies: Tailored advocacy for those providing the essential parts that keep other industries moving.

In an industry defined by precision, your insurance partner should be no different. We provide a strategic perspective that anticipates operational hurdles, ensuring your business remains stable through every market shift.

Michael focuses on providing risk management and insurance advocacy for real estate investors, manufacturers, and contractors. His professional interest in how businesses scale led him to obtain his real estate license early in his career, providing him with a foundational understanding of property and investment exposure.

Michael approaches every client relationship as a partnership. By conducting site visits and focusing on the day-to-day reality of an operation, he helps identify risks before they impact a client’s growth. As part of a 140-year independent legacy, he combines the market reach of a large firm with the accessibility and personal attention of a family office.

Outside of the office, Michael is an avid golfer and racket sports enthusiast, playing both padel and pickleball. He and his wife, Lina, enjoy exploring the outdoors with a goal of visiting two national parks each year, accompanied at home by their French bulldog, Lucci, and their cat, Jaymo.

Karen’s professional journey began at Heil & Heil in the mid-1980s, and after decades of gaining broad industry experience at other agencies, she returned to her roots in 2023. This "full circle" career path gives Karen a unique, long-standing perspective on the insurance landscape and a deep appreciation for the relationships that define our agency. She views insurance as a platform for genuine connection, ensuring that every client feels heard and valued rather than just another item on a list.

When a client trusts Karen with their risk, her priority is to deliver a level of service characterized by ownership and accessibility. She leverages her extensive background and the agency's established carrier relationships to provide strong negotiating power and technical proficiency. For Karen, the stability and credibility of an independent model are what allow for true advocacy—putting the client’s needs at the center of every decision.

Beyond the office, Karen is an enthusiast of the natural world and true crime documentaries. She is particularly devoted to her cat, Daisy, and finds balance through reading and staying curious about the "new challenges" the insurance industry presents every day.
